oooh, it’s almost time to go home. today i got to sit in on more html coding, which is the most useful thing i’ve got out of this internship so far. but i’m looking forward to going home soon and not doing much tonight. maybe watching a movie or just reading a lot. i need to start reading a lot more for a few weeks because school’s starting soon (if 26 or more days is soon) and that means i’ll have to start spending my reading time on selections not selected by me. and those aren’t — usually — quite as enjoyable.
i read not 20 minutes ago an article that the house passed a bill to ban all forms of human cloning outright. god, i hate the govenrment of this country. they’re supposed to represent us, and if they’re doing an accurate job of representing the opinions of the country they’re serving, then i need to find a better country to live in. how can you believe that it’s more moral to not let a scientist multiply embryo cells that would have been discarded anyway, so he can do research on growing replacement organs for terminally ill patients, then letting a large number of fully developed human being continue to suffer or die? i would blame republicans but judging by the votes that’s not the dividing line. it’s probably just good old fashioned ignorance.
dammit. maybe getting my paycheck will make me feel better. that and some root beer. i need some root beer. i’m going to go home and drink some frosty a&w and read a book. splendid.
