first off and maybe most importantly, two.points.collapsing has two new friends (even though that second one seems to be having some technical difficulties today. what happened to the whole last week?…good luck with that). thank goodness! i think that makes five now. a tidy bunch, for sure.
so last night was great. dom’s friends were here when i came home, and they’re really rad. no wonder dominic is so cool. so the four of them, dom, dustin, me and my girlfriend went to dinner at roscoe’s chicken and waffles. if you’ve never heard of this place, don’t be scared. i too doubted the combination of chicken and waffles as a dinner menu item. i mean who would think to serve chicken with waffles? well, roscoe, that’s who. and thank goodness he did. i suspect the only reason he (they, i guess. i wish it was just this one guy named roscoe serving up the food, but it’s just not true) can pull off the mingling of chicken and waffles is that the chicken is really really good, and the waffles are really really good. so since they’re both so good, you don’t really notice how absurd it is to be eating them both during the same meal. and it’s pretty reasonably priced too. good place to check out if you’re in LA. yummy.
then we went to see made, which if you don’t know is another movie by jon favreau and vince vaughn of swingers renown. it was pretty decent, but that’s as complimentary as i can get. i was expecting a little more out of it than i got. although p-diddy (listed in the opening credits as “sean combs”, which got a laugh from me) turned in a surprisingly adequate performance as the new york crime boss. maybe if he had started out just acting instead of ripping off a police song to pay tribute to biggy smalls, not to mention being a complete fool and calling himself p-diddy, i would have liked him and not thought he was such a complete fool. the movie was entertaining though with or without any combseses so you might want to check it out.
now it’s past noon on friday and i think i might be about ready to start my day. it’s gonna be a lazy one though i can tell you that right now.
