simple things are all the rage today. examples include receiving emails from cool people i don’t really even know. playing video games and watching cartoons. the way people bond over talking shit about other people who aren’t present. listening to the new ted leo album for the fourth time since waking up. highlights include scraping the remnants of brownie mix out of the bowl post-pour and eating those while i wait an hour to eat them (30 min to cook, 30 min to cool — warm brownies never really impressed me. too gooey), and using lighter fluid which i purchased for a lighter i don’t even need (never smoked) but really like (cool looking, fun for fidgeting) to remove the sticky remnants of the seal off of the aforementioned cd i purchased yesterday along with the aforementioned video game, and having it come off as if by magic. so satisfying, even if my ted leo cd jewel case may be slightly more flammable until it fully dries. also, i enjoy the continued rain.

minor setback: trip to dentist at 8am. but it was so long ago by this point in the day it’s hard to stay angry. besides, he can tell me to floss all he wants, i’ll still have brownies in an hour and he most likely will not.
