highlights from this weekend include buying some new books (!) friday night, which as usual makes me strangely exuberant, spending quality time with jen finally (i wish i had a new sleepover buddy, but she got me there), and having an excellent party at our place saturday night. it was our first major hosting occasion involving liquor, and it was great all around. i remember losing a game of barrel of monkeys in which i only needed ONE more monkey to complete the chain, storming into my room and slamming the door, then climbing from my balcony to the neighboring living room balcony, going back in and knocking on my door from the outside telling myself to come out and not be so hard on myself. is that brilliant or what?

not-so-highlights include seeing the new matrix. i’m sorry but… well, i will write a review here in just a second.
